Topic 10: Chicken Pox : Communicable disease in Namibia

Chicken Pox is a highly communicable disease that causes red skin rashes.



Symptoms: Watery skin rashes

Transmission: Through sneezing and coughing or direct contact win an infected person

Prevention: Children are immunized at an early age to prevent them from catching and spread the disease

  12. I once got chicken pox, I don't know if I was immunized at younger age or not, but there is this believe that if you got infected once , you will never get infected again. I don't know if it's true or not, but there is such a believe especially within the Vambo communities.
